Organic Chemistry by John McMurry (2007, Hardcover)

The seller claimed just what he said. I needed this book for school and got it within a short amount of time. Great delivery. I am very happy with my purchase and would reccomend it to you.

This is a great Organic Chemistry book, it gives practical uses and combined with the solution manual it is a great tool for any level of understanding of Organic Chemistry.

Never received order. I tried contacting seller and never got an answer back. I do not recommend purchasing products from this seller.

I give a rating of below average, because even though the product was in a fair condition, the content of the book contradicted to the description.

The description of the book was not accurately written, for it had either deliberately or unintentionally misleading information and mised an important factor to the book: an INDIAN version WITH NO COLOR. It was necessary to inform buyers that the indian version is CLEARLY different from the international version. IT has no color and not all the problems are present in the book.

As it is an organic chemistry book, being able to identify the color of molecules is critial in understanding the concept. If i had known that the book did not provide any color or additional problems, I wouldn't have purchased the item.

I love how international books are wayyyyyy cheaper than the books that they sell the U.S. I save hundreds every time I buy an international book!

The content was advertised as the same as the U.S edition, however, it had missing problems. In addtion, it wasn't the Internationl version, it was the Inda version (there is a difference because I've seen someone else's internationl vesion). Lastly, the seller/customer service never responded to my attempt to reach them after the purchase. But other than all of that, the book was fine. It wasn't very good paper quality or print quality and everything was black and white, but the rest of the content was the same.

I bought the international version of Organic Chem by John McMurry. I have been using it for several weeks and have not yet found in differences in my book compared to the US addition except that it is a paper back book.

The book was in very good condition, at a very good price, much cheaper than my camous bookstore. Thank you!!

The vendor sent out the book, which was in good shape. However, the only reason i chose this vendor was because they offered the solution guide with the purchase for free. I purchased the book and the vendor took very little effor to send out the solutions manuale. I am very dissapointed due to the fact that they basically finalized HALF of their promised sale and took the money. It is both unfair and arbitrary. To top it all off, the vendor continues to ignore my emails inquiring about whether or not they will comply with their promised sale and send me out the solution guide. I would not recommend theis vendor due to their inability to comply with their promised sales and overall lack of communication skills.

The book was purchased because it was required by the class, otherwise i would not have bought it. Overall i rate it good.

This book was exactly waht i was looking for and it was it great condition. It came in the time I requested it to be sent with no hassle. I bought it for school and itcame right on time. Loved it!!!!

Do this is not the book I need for my clase, it does not have hardcover, not word by word, not all the problem in it, is an indian edition stricttly prohibited to circulated uotside india

The seller describes the book as WORD for WORD with the US version and claims the book being sold is the International version. It is not the international version its INDIA version!!!! AND it is NOT word for word either! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!!!!

Book was not advertised as "India Edition". This book came and has "distribution outside of India and surrounding countries strictly prohibited"! :-(

THe book that I have is the International edition (soft cover). It is a bit smaller than the US Edition, making it an odd shape. However, the content is very good. It is very thorough, and has questions tied into the reading to immediately reinforce the concepts. I found it very helpful so far.

I kbow many people are very wary when they see the description of "International version" of textbooks. I just went out on a limb and bought my first one and can tell u i am more than satisfied. The most obvious difference is that the book is soft cover. I actually like that because its a lot lighter than hardcover versions. If u worry about the durability, buy a sheet of clear contact paper and cover the book as soon as u get it and it will last forever. I think that there's a legal reason why they tell u that the quality of the paper is lower, but really its not that different. THEY R NOT PRINTED ON NEWSPAPER as i feared before ordering it. The small downside is that the paper is thinner, so if you look at any white unprinted section of a page, you can see a ghost of the text printed on the opposite side. So far this hasnt affected my ability to read the text. Paper feels very similar. I have compared it to the US version sold at my school bookstore and i compared about 20 random pages and they were EXACTLY THE SAME, WORD FOR WORD, LINE FOR LINE, WITH ALL THE SAME FIGURES AND IMAGES. I paid $85 for a NEW organic chemistry book that sells at my school for $262 USED! Even the $85 that i paid was on the high side because i saw the book going for $59 but by the time i did by research on the international books the price went up. Still, textbooks r not going to get any cheaper. We will be paying more and getting less for them when we sell them back to the bookstore. They will go to new editions as often as possible and u WILL get stuck with a textbook u will never use again. Tuition is already high, but by buying 2 int book i saved $270 to put toward my tuition. Unless you don't have computer, i dont see any reason not to buy international textbooks online. I have 3 more years of pharmacy school left and intend to use these int textbooks throughout

Very comprehensive book, but clearly worded if one takes the time to read it. The solutions manual further clarifies confusing point making for a great combination.

Fast shipping and competitive price. Cheaper get a new textbook than buying used textbook at college.
