Oreck Vacuum to buy or not to buy!

Because of back problems, I needed a very light vacuum. I went to the Department Stores so I could try what was on the market. All of the vacuums are so heavy even the Dyson. The only one that was light are the canisters but that is just the extension. The actual canisters were very heavy. I have a Hoover Powermax that is 14 years old and thought the new one's would be lighter. But all seemed just as heavy or heavier. So I starting checking into the Oreck. I am a Ebay big time shopper. I buy almost everything on Ebay except groceries. I weighed the Hoover Powermax hose and brush head part and it weight 9lbs. So I was sold on the weight of the Oreck. But which one to buy. I researched the internet on all models of the Oreck and prices. It seemed to me a the only difference between models was headlight, type of outer bag and the warranty they give. So my theory was to buy a mid priced model which gave you a little more than the base and alot less pricey than the top model. I received my Oreck I won on Ebay last week. The model 2600 which is a older mid priced model. I got a great deal and it is the bomb! I vacuumed my entire house the day I got it. Effortless! The outer bag detaches so you can wash. Good Feature. But one thing about the Oreck, it is a simple construction. So if anything goes wrong it can be only one of about 5-6 parts not like other vac's. The only thing I would change is buying one sooner!!!
