Orchids for Dummies by Steven A. Frowine (2005, Paperback)

Comprehensive, easy to read, thorough. Author has a sense of humor that makes reading a "how to" book entertaining too!

Altho, I had raised a few orchids for a few years, I had not bought any books about them. This was my first book, and what I consider to be a good first book with good background info. Enough information to help me understand the flower more, and make me want more books to complete the library.

Orchids for Dummies should be recommended for those that want to find out basic info for this most wonderful plant and to also create confidence enough to grow them. Orchids have such rumors about how difficult they are to raise and this book will help to put it all into perspective. They can be raised by most regular gardeners, indoors, outdoors, under lights or in a window sill.

I'm new to raising orchids and this book offers great advice for new and veteren orchid growers. It is easy to understand and has many useful tips on how to purchase to raising orchids. I would highly recommened this book to all orchid growers.

Orchids for Dummies is like all other "for Dummies" books very good. I find this book very helpful and will refer back to it for reference purposes. If you need information about orchids you will want this book!!!
