Shakira (real name Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll)There’s a reason for her popularity, and in this English language follow up to Fijac on Oral Vol.1 (June 2005), she proves that she can keep her English-speaking fan base happy too.
Shakira is a good singer and takes advantage of her dual culture background -- Latino and Arabic. It's more Latino but with enough Arabic to avoid the boring formulas of so much Latino music.

She brings her sexuality but without overpowering the music as happens in her videos. Yes, it's sensual but in a PG sort of way... which is my preference rather than the explicit lyrics of, let's say, Pink.

She makes good use of guest musicians, like Santana.This makes an album more emotional and worth buying. Haunting music and backgrounds as in "How Do You Do" are outstanding. I recommend this album for anyone who is willing to try a new category in music.

I just got back from a trip to Mexico. I fell in love with the music so
ordered this cd. It was in great shape, like new. Delivery was fast.

Shakira has a bubbly persona that shine through her songs.
You can't help but move you hips to these beats.

Just received it tonight and it may grow on me. I hope so! I love her one that's all in Spanish........forget the name but this isn't as passionate.

I bought a cd Oral fixation with Sharkira,and it was all over a very good fine cd in conditions and shipping.

Was told had HIPS DONT LIE and didn't.. Guess there is 2 Orla Fixation Vol 2 cds!!!!! She is a great singer but I wanted that song and the other songs I personally didnt like as much.

This girl is simply unmatched in every way! Fantastic voice, georgeous, and what a dancer!!almost too good to be true!!

Heard it on a plane and went right home to buy it on eBay. Wonderful album, great songs. Everybody rates it a 5 out of 5. Hear it and you'll know why.

I REALLY DIDN'T LIKE THE CD ITSELF, I GUESS I'M JUST USED TO LISTENING TO HER IN SPANISH, BUT THEN AGAIN I BOUGHT IT FOR MY DAUGHTER. THE SELLER DID A GREAT JOB, I RECEIVED THE PACKAGE WITHIN A WEEK.

English, spanish and even a little bit of French in her songs! very versatile a must have album. who knew that she can speak some French or at least try to. she makes a comment about the " perfect women" in her song " don't bother" who speaks "perfect French". maybe she is trying to reach that goal with more French speaking songs? the best is yet to come!
