Movie Description Richard E. Robbins's documentary revisits the war in Iraq from the perspective of the American soldiers who have fought in it, using their own words. The film is based on a National Endowment for the Arts project that gathered writings by soldiers and their families. Stars including Blair Underwood, Justin Kirk, Aaron Eckhart, Chris Gorham, John Krasinski, and Robert Duvall appear in interviews and readings of the soldiers' writings. Ranging through poetry, short stories, letters, and memoirs, the featured material aims to bring the experience of war closer to home.
