Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis (Gold Edition) (PC Games, 2002)

I like this game because it employs lanscape combat. The combat is not stuck within buildind and room to room fighting only. It is very good game that we can still play on a low performance laptop. I dislike this game only when I reload the weapon, the character will stop moving. I want that I can move to the right and left sides while running as fast as when I move forward while still able to aim.

Operation Flashpoint is probably one of the most realistic shooters you can find right down to the limited equipment and iron sight aim. Rear and front sight apertures included. The game is quite challenging as many times your are forced to avoid enemies almost entirely as they can kill you quite easily and the heavier armor of the soviet forces takes too many rpg or law shots to fight them effectively. The game also feels pretty realistic in reference to squad based combat in open areas, the only thing that lacks in this game is the voice-overs and dialogue, but luckily this is almost insignificant to the game progression. The graphics are quite good for the time and the gameplay is excellent and challenging. This game puts unlimited spawning healthpack gathering linear progression shooters to shame.
