Operating Techniques for the Tractor-Loader-Backhoe
Review created: 07/02/08(updated 07/02/08)

I personal think the book would be excellent for some one with limited experience with machinery, and wanting to know safety and operating tips.
I have ran farm tractors for many many years, and some loader work in the past, and was mostly interested in the Backhoe sections as I have jsut obtained a back hoe attachment for my tractor.
There were some things that were brought to my attention that I had not considered, and some operating tips that will be help full.
If I was hiring some one to help or operate the equipment I would probly use the book and the testing as general training before letting them on the backhoe tractor, unless they could prove adequate experience.
It is more of a TEXT book, and there are questions for self study or class type study, if there were more than one person studying the materials,
(NOTE: if your wanting a "Student" to use the book remove the answer key from the back of the book, if your wanting the tests answered via study)
I would recommend it if your new to the equipment and even if your familiar with basic equipment, but not loaders or backhoes.
Safety is the primarily focus of the book, and second are tips on how to position and operate the equipment, and tips to accomplish the job with efficiency.
