Open Water 2: Adrift (DVD, 2007)

This is a great movie it is a lot better than the first Open Water. The first Open Water I believe was a little to boring not enough action but Open Water 2 Adrift your not going to get bored, and fall asleep on it is a a lot better has quite a bit more action to it. If you like movie based on true stories well then this one is for you. It is about a group of old high school friends that take a yacht out for a cruise, and then they all are far from land and jump out of the boat for a swim without lowering the ladder, and have no way of getting back on the boat now they all have to fight to survive, and another bad thing one couple have a baby aboard with no one aboard with it. The only thing I didn't like about the movie was how it ended I just didn't understand it but you will have to watch this movie to get your own opinion but because of the ending I give this move a 4.5 out of a 5 rating. But I still would buy before just renting it because I feel it is worth adding to a collection.

this was a great movie. better than the 1st. makes you think that one mistake is all it takes. so think well before you jump.

Did you see the first Open Water? Well, if so, did you think there would ever be a sequel? Yeah, me neither. Open Water 2 is a whole nother story, based on something true though. Even before watching it I kind of assumed how it would end, I figured they wouldn't make the movie exactly the same as the first. Although very similar, the sequel is in itself very different and once again very emotional. The character development is unique throughout the movie as you see them evolve.

Amy, her husband James and their baby Sarah travel to Mexico to sail in the yacht of their reckless friend Dan with their common friends Zach and Lauren and celebrate the thirtieth birthday of Zach. They are introduced to Dan's girlfriend Michelle and they drink and recall moments of their past while navigating. Miles away from the shore, Michelle suggest to stop the yacht and swim in the calm water. Amy stays in the boat since she has a childhood trauma with ocean and Dan stays with her. Later, the irresponsible Dan pushes Amy overboard, falling with her in a prank. Once in the water, the group realizes that Dan forgot to put the embarkation ladder and the freeboard makes impossible to climb to the main deck the yacht. With the baby alone in the boat and stranded in the open sea, they panic and their desperation lead them to a tragic fight for survival.

This too is a good movie But it makes you wonder how they all...can be so carless..enjoyed it.....

It toches heart, i shed tears especially when the baby cried couple of time but to no avail. The father died while trying to safe their lives from ocean.

I like the fact that it was base on historical fact, it's well filmed and toches heart. On the other hand, it is horrific and terrible. I refuse to drink water sometimes when i think of the movie.

This a really quiet movie that will blow your mind! Full of twists and turns that I really enjoyed! The perfect tale of what could happen to any one of us the minute you let your guard down and let FUN take over for responsability! Excellent photography and creepy story line thats based on a true story! WOW

Seller never shipped this item to me. After about two weeks I receivec a message from seller through ebay telling me he got a little behind in shipping so he was offering me the opportunity to cnacel the order or if I still wished to receive it he would credit back the shipping charges. I accepted the offer to still recieve it and be credited back for the shipping, but at this point I still have not received this DVD. Since I paid for it through my Paypal credit card I have gone through Paypal to get a refund for this purchase.

just as good as the first. intense, you just want them to stop fighting and get on the ship. tear up the boat, use each other as a human ladder....do what u gotta do to get to the baby, then kill each other. very way played, confussing ending.... leaves it open really..

Not a very good movie. Lots of obvious reasons they couldn't save themselves. Better than the first movie though. If you're bored and have nothing better to do it's not too bad to watch and get a laugh.

Much better than the fist movie...........first one was pretty dismal. This one actually had more of a storyline with characters not just 2 people floating around for days. I liked the idea of such a simple mistake having such tragic consequences.

I liked the movie. It was based on a true life story. It was a sad story with tragic events. It didn't need to happen. I hated the ending.

I did like the movie and sat through the whole thing. But i thought of ways for them to get out of the water before it was to late.
