Open Season (DVD, 2009, Full Frame)

This I believe is the funniest animated movie I have ever seen. Everyone in my family loved this one including my husband, and I have a 15, 12, 10, and 9 year old so everyone of all ages will love this movie. It is full of laughs. The animated animals in this are so funny, and cute it is to hilarious. I just love Boog the grizzly bear who voice is played by Martin Lawrence he is a bear that is a pet in our world but then his world is turned all around in not such a good way by a mule deer named Elliot who's voice is played by Ashton Kutcher, anyway Boog is dropped off into the wilderness along with Elliot. After being put to sleep then he and Elliot wake up to the big surprise, and then the big laughs begin in this movie even though they already have started but the bigger ones start now. You will have to see this to know the rest. This movie is full of a lot of other lovable animated characters besides Boog, and Elliot .I give this animated movie a 5 out of a 5 rating.

My two year old loves this movie. He'll come to me and ask, "Mommy, watch Boog, please?" (Boog is the main character.). It's a shame that this movie didn't do better in the box office because that pretty much sealed that there wouldn't be a sequel. But the thing I like about this is that it's not so full of musical numbers every five minutes, it relies on it's own humor and storyline, and it's not some over-dramatic love story. It is what it is: a fun, humorous kids' movie that doesn't take itself too seriously or try to change the world with a message. It's only real purpose is entertainment, not a kajillion tie-in products, a multi-million dollar soundtrack song by an aging contemporary adult artist nor a big, flashy soundtrack at all. It's fun, it's quick, and isn't 45 minutes of song.
(Can ya tell I'm tired of Celine Dion, Elton John and U2 being in every kids' movie I watch? lol).

Had some sexual jokes, not appropriate for children. Overall plot had potential, but fell short.Not as good as Disney. C+

I needed to replace movie because my daughter lost this movie when we rented it at the library. So i priced it this was the best price and the delivery was outstanding! Would buy more products from this seller anytime. Also the movie was brand new with the plasic on it.

There is nothing to dislike. Every character is great. The story is great. As a father, the language is very good and there is nothing remotely suggestive about sexuality, etc.

My kids just love this movie. They watch it over and over. Plus we like that it has great character voices and that it has some adult humor so it's not a total bore for us to watch too.

Ok, finally a film we both hadn't seen and are we ever glad we finally did see it..we plan to buy this film not only for ourselves, but for our great Nephew he's 6..my Partner who loaths cartoons loved this film..we both laughed so hard we cried and our bellies hurt..a great family film that will have you bouncing in your seat!! Please if you haven't seen this movie do so whether you have kids or not you'll cherish this great Childrens movie..a definite must see and must own film for Children of all ages!!
