Onkyo TX 8511 200 Watt Receiver

Very nice, clean sound. I replaced an old 1973 receiver. Very nice power to drive big speakers. For the price this is an excellent receiver.

I bought the Onkyo TX8511 receiver as a companion unit to run my peripheral ceiling speakers in my kitchen, master bedroom, and my patio speakers. I needed the audio power (200 watts X 2) and the ability to adjust bass & treble. The Onkyo TX8511 has done everything I have asked it to do and more.
The power is amazing, even with all 6 speakers running. At 25% volume, the house rocks, and the sound is crisp. In fact the bass response is awesome and I have had to back it off.

I was looking for and receiver to power audio rather than video, and this one fits the bill perfectly. Linking it to my Onkyo TX-SR605 AV Receiver, has created the surround sound system I wanted with the additional boost for the zone 2 speakers that I needed.

Price and quality plus the sound is beyound any other stereo I've had. Would gladdly buy again. The price was within my budget and other units were much more expensive and didn't match the quality of this unit.

Sounds as good as some more expensive amps. Plenty of power. Never a glitch in operation. Radio not bad either. for the money a very good product.

NEEDED IT FOR BOSE 901'S WORKS EXCELLENT NAVE IT HOOKED TO SURROUND 7.1 RECIEVER BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT HOOK 901'S TO OTHER SPEAKER'S WITH 901 EQULIZER AND 903 ARE NO GOOD WITHOUT EQULIZER.
