Onkyo M-282 2-Channel Amplifier

awesome amplifier with all the basics and a few frills. easy to setup. clean sound high power. nuff said

You can't say enough about these amps. I've had several different models of these and I'm impressed with all of them. They put out the power to push 4 ohm Cerwin Vega's and I can't say I ever had a problem with them over heating.
I've even bought used ones that people converted for PA systems or Guitars and they still perform, just to give you an idea of the longevity and use they have.

I use this in a 7.1 setup to drive a second pair of left and right speakers up front. The M-282 is power-matched to my Onkyo 706, so I didn't have to fiddle with the volume adjustment to get it sounding right. Unfortunately, I have to turn the unit on and off manually. The 12v trigger function does not work in my application. The audio trigger should work, but the unit randomly goes into standby when I'm using it. Overall I'm very happy with the M-282.
