One For The Money was Janet Evanovich's first book... the first of the Stephanie Plum series. These are fast reads. You will blow right through the book. It is so funny, you will find yourself busting out laughing. Stephanie Plum, the lead character is a young woman in the heart of New Jersey. She's out of work and finds herself working for a bail bondsman... hunting down those that have jumped bond. As a bounty hunter... she is just too funny. Be sure to read these books in the order written. You will love this author... I guarantee it!!

Janet's novels are bright, cheery and VERY FUNNY! Stephanie Plum is a colorful character that you can't help but adore. Well written mysteries. moderate language, nothing offensive. Highly recommend for the not so serious reader!

I first got into the Janet Evanovich books from a friend of mine. She had already read almost all of her books. I wanted a good book that would keep me interested and wanting more. She told me about Janet Evanovich. I went and bought this book and couldn't put it down.

I was never very good at reading and finishing a book. I could never find anything that I really liked. When I bought this book I was so into it that I was finished in less then 4 days.

Since reading this book, I have purchased every book that she has out, including her re-released books like Manhunt. I am on the 5th book now and can't stop. It takes me a little longer to finish them now, working and living on my own really doesn't give me much time to read, but when I start reading I have to fall asleep before I will put the book down. I love Janet Evanovich and can't wait for all her new books to come to stores.

Janet Evanovich can bring anyone out of the blues with her hilarious characters in the Stephanie Plum series. I have read all of the series and eagerly await more!

I love the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich! I've since bought #2, 3 and 4 and will buy the rest (up to #15 I belive)

Combines mystery, love interest and a hilarious array of friends and family.

Meet Stephanie and her family. Pay particular attention to Grandma Merzer, she is a hoot, second only to Stephanie herself when it comes to being a clutz.

This book, like the rest of the series, is hilarious and adictive. Beware, once you start reading Evanovich you can't stop! Look for her set of Stephanie books that are outside the number series. Each is a little, heart warming, belly aching from laughing gem.

One for the Money and all the other books in the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich make for light and easy reading. Some of the things that happen to Stephanie are laugh out loud funny. I'm a big fan of the funny mystery series and this really fits the bill!

I am very impressed about these books. They are really worth more than the price. Pretty books in very good condition. They could pass for new. I'll buy from this seller again and again whenever she lists whatever books interest me. I bought this series because, I just happened to read one of them "Twelve Sharp" given to me by a friend, I love it so I decided to search for the rest on "EBAY", and bingo, I found what I wanted.

Janet Evanovich is an excellent writer. She has such comedic style. This book was hilarious. I recommend this book as well as all of the Stephanie Plum novels.

Love the characters, semi romance and detective work. I love how the writer writes the main character Stephanie Plum in the first person. I've read all of this series and bought this for my Mother-In-Law and Niece cause I know they'll love it as well.

This is the first book in a series of 14 extremely entertaining novels!! I had to buy book #1 again because I have loaned it out so much I had not received it back and I wanted to read it again. All of these novels make me laugh out loud and keep the pages turning!! Enjoy!!!

I'd heard about the author and decided to give this book a try as it's the first in the series of Stephanie Plum novels. Have since bought the entire Stephanie Plum series. I'm not a romance reader, so wasn't sure about getting the book, because the author also writes romance novels. However, these are not at all like the romance series. They're fast-paced, laugh-out-loud, novels about a skip-trace, "bounty hunter" and I love them. Great recurring characters. Can't recommend the Stephanie Plum series highly enough.

This is book one of the fourteen book series by Janet Evanovich. I loved it and I am now hooked. I have speed read all fourteen books and consider every minute as one well spent.

These books are a great source of entertainment. It doesn't matter how busy your mind is, or how heavy your heart, you will find something to laugh about. These are not the heavy detective stories like I usually read but I am so glad to find them. Hours of entertainment.

I have read most of the Stephanie Plum novels, and by far this is my favorite. I finished it in one night!!!

I ordered the Stephinie Plum serious which starts with One for the Money, and they are all great! So much fun and helps pass the time while going through cancer treatment!

I could not find this book in any of our local bookstores, so was happy to find this copy on-line. I am enjoying it very much and it arrived in excellent condition.

The book was just as described, very good condition. I am so enjoying reading the first book of this series.
