Every Christian in the world should read the Bible thru every year so s/he can be equipped to share the Word & to draw closer to God. The One Year Bible Companion includes The One Year Bible reading plan with Questions & Answers in 1 convenient volume. I have read the Bible in various Bible versions using this plan. It is the only plan to use because you read some in the Old Testament, then the New Testament, then in Psalms & Proverbs so you get a very well balanced view of the Bible. You get a much better understanding of Bible times & the whole picture of what God's plan is for the whole world, in a nutshell, when you use this One Year Bible Companion. As Dr. J. Vernon McGee (Thru the Bible Radio program at ttb.org) would say, You get the meat & potatoes in the Old Testament, & the dessert in the New Testament, Psalms, & Proverbs. All other Bible reading plans I have tried are boring because you have to read more O.T. than anything & because there are more O.T. chapters, but it is not balanced with encouragement from the N.T., Psalms, or Proverbs. That is what makes this plan the best. The Companion really helps provoke you to think about how to apply the passage or give background so you can understand the passages. The daily plan does not take more than 30 minutes to read thru even for the slower reader like myself, which I'm working on to change to read faster.
