Wonderful potato recipes for the everyday cook.
I am an avid cookbook collector and was absolutely delighted when I started going through this book. It gives us a history of potatoes and a description of different kinds of potatoes from low starch varieties, to the good old "russet" that we get in the grocery store. The receipes are fantastic and are easy to read and fun to try. There are even desserts made out of potatoes and wonderful ways to make main dishes or just mash them. It's comprehensive, fanciful and just plain "hands on". It's a huge book full of one delicious recipe after another. There is a section in the middle of the book with about 10 pages of pictures. It would have been better to have a picture beside each recipe, but this is not really a criticism, just a bit of an improvement.
I highly recommend this cookbook to any potato lover. You will not be disappointed. It's worth it's weight in Yukon Gold!!
