) Marvelous book!!!!! A Great value for the money, that is unimpaired. This book provides a picture into the past of the Eight Air Force bomber bases and their ultimate fate. It shows that even though time does indeed march on, some things remain. A must have for students of World War 2.

) Having lived during WW2 Iam reminded of the difficulty of getting current news from the war. Newspapers were slow and edited by military regulations and 'Movietone News'was two weeks behind. This book was written in 1983. It is primarily a look at the 8th Air Force effort against Nazi Germany from airfields in eastern England. Having worked with many of these Vets,I found that they never talked in the detail like this book does.Anyone having an interest in warbird aviation, this is one of the 'must read historical classics'.You can feel the that you were there in person.
