One Cell In the Sea by Fine Frenzy (A) (CD, Jul-2007, Virgin Records USA)

I heard Alison Sudol on a tv show and went to youtube to listen to more of this fantastic new musican that should take the world by the tail and FLY with it. She is incredible and has a great story as to how she was " discovered ". Alison has a quirky personality and looks to be loads of fun. I reccommend this CD to anyone who likes all forms of music. She would be hard to say what type of music; alternative perhaps. A very talented musican !!!

soothing vocal melodies, pleasant lyrics, "norah jones" like... very nice accompanied by a glass of wine or as background music... not the kind of music you would play to spice of up a party or get energized :)

I love this cd couldn't find it anywhere and I got it at a great price, it was a my door and I was playing it in 2 days! I will always look at this place 1st from now on, this place rocks!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again.

What do I love about it? Alison's voice. I find the lyrics amusing and rambling, but it doesn't matter, I just listen to her voice instead. Well worth a buy.

I actually heard the a specific song watching a late night show. The band was featured, very soft, yet progressive. While listening to it, I called my daughter in Ohio, ask her if she liked it, she said "absolutely", I then sent her my CD and I am ordering another. Great music if looking for something "different". Overall, I'd recommend the CD to anyone looking for diversity and a change.

Beautiful and complicated music with the lead voice floating above water. Easy listening but not simple. Have to listen to it and I am sure you will be hooked.

I completely recommend this album to anyone who's looking for haunting melodies, pure emotions, and a soft voice.

There are no words to express what I feel everytime I listen to this record. It literally transports me, and makes me experience emotions I didn't even know they were real.

This is a MUST HAVE for every real music lover.

Very Good CD. I saw them on Letterman and purchased the CD.It has a folk side that reminds me of Carly Simon or Carole king .Good medelies and Lyrics.

The CD is absolutely beautiful. She is amazing! Her voice is sultry, sexy. Her songs have the most beautiful lyrics you will ever here.

the case is a colorful cardboard sleeve, looks very classy and antique.

If you like one song on it, you'll like the rest of them.

This singer has a lovely voice, especially in "Almost Lover", very sultry... upon looking up that word, .. looks like it means "sexy". heh, yup, that would describe her voice.

The cd lasts 61 mins. I checked. It does.

WAIT. I guess one thing, you don't play this cd in a macho crowd, since it plays like Coldplay.

Oh. Right. By the way, I'm not gay.

After the first listen - this CD will become a regular in your player...The debut CD from A Fine Frenzy (Alison Sudol is her name) is nothing short of terrific. Her voice soars when called upon, and has a subdued/wistful touch on other selections. There are several "can't miss" tunes - and I can't really say there's any filler anywhere to be found. Singer/songwriter/pianist - she's got it all going on. If this is the debut - I can't wait for the follow-up. Enjoy!

This CD is so amazing. She's amazing and her voice is so beautiful. You can really feel it when she sings. And that's what I listen for when I listen to music. So many artists sing without emotion or intensity anymore. A Fine Frenzy is not one of those artists! She's, quite easily, one of my favorite all time singers!

i heard a song of hers on the tv or radio and decided to look it up. after hearing clips of two other songs i fell in love. had to buy her cd and couldnt be more happy. there are a couple of songs that i dont completly like, but other than thas this cd is very powerful and interesting.

I bought this CD after seeing A Fine Frenzy opening for Brandi Carlile. I instantly liked her voice and style. She seemed "real". I gave it a good rating only because there are two songs im not crazy about. Other than that I think she is destined for great things. Her voice is shy yet powerfull, and i like listening!

This cd is addictive and amazing. Alison is incredibly talented and unique. 'Almost Lover' gets a lot of radio play, but I'd definitely recommend 'You Picked Me' as my favorite.
