
Good nutrition using fresh ingredients
I bought this book after checking out a new edition at the library. I really like the emphasis on fresh, flavorful recipes. I have made six of the vegetable recipes for broccoli, greens and bok choy and the tuscan bean soup with kale and enjoyed the results. There are many more recipes I want to make.
I am trying to focus on nutrition and being open to trying new healthy foods as a way of boostering my immune system which is compromised due to cancer. Although the book is aimed at cancer patients, this book would be useful to anyone interested in healthy eating.
The book has an easy to read format and contains some nice pictures.
Preparing fresh vegetables and cooking from scratch does take some effort. The newer edition contains nutritional information for each recipe.
