A New Spin on Arthurian Lore
One thing you'll notice in reading this book, is that its written in plain language- the author delineates between Common and High Speech, High Speech being considered antiquated and bothersome towards the end of the novel (much like proper English is considered by our youth) but for the most part, its written in a fashion easily understandable. Being somewhat of an Arthur buff, I enjoyed the humanity of the Arthur of this book; he was an everyman with the responsibilities of a king and realm. If you love the mythology, or even if you've never heard of King Arthur, this book bears reading- it has no historical aspect, per se, but it does provide an interesting and engaging view on what might have been.
