Once Upon a Potty - For Him (DVD, 2004)

This show is perfect for little boys ready to use the BIG boy potty. My little man actually got his potty out of the bathroom, took his nappy off and sat on the potty for the second viewing of the show.

It has such a catchy tune that the whole family sings along which makes my son giggle.

We used the same version for Girls when my daughter was toilet training.

Recommend it highly!

All I can say is that it works. Potty Training BOot Camp call it. Stay in the house for one week NO DIAPERS OR PULL UPS and let hime watch this movie 10 times over! IT works! We even put it in the car!

I had decided to buy this movie because my family has used it in the past to help to train their children. It semmed to have a positive effect on them. My son loves this movie, and will watch it over, and over. He seems to understand the concept that the movie is trying to teach him. We are still working on the potty training as I am a full time working mother, and my husband works full time as well, so potty training is harder for us. I would for sure tell anyone thinking about buying this movie to do so!!!!

I've bought three potty video and this is the only one that actually shows someone going to the potty. The elmo and seseame street ones just dance and sing about it and use all the various you can think of for pee and pooh.

I have used this DVD with all 4 of our boys when it was time to potty train. They loved it and wanted to switch to underwear and use the potty in no time. I just had to buy another one because I let someone borrow my other one and they never gave it back. It is great.

Catchy tune- my son likes to watch the video but unfortunatley it had no affect on the status of his potty training.

This is a great video for any boy going through potty training. The contents are very educational yet remain fun enough for a toddler to enjoy watching. My son was using his potty within days of viewing this video! I highly recommend this DVD as well as the books and potty chair. What a wonderful way to introduce an often difficult transition. My son loves to use his potty and sings the "potty song" when doing it!

This is an excellent tool for potty training, it did ALL the work for me when training my children. I purchaced the movie for my nephew and it is doing wonders.

Great video, my 2.5 year old likes watching it over and over. However, he is still in pullups!!

I like that it is specifically for boys. It uses language to help toddlers (and first-time parents) with potty training as well as understanding the process. I decided to buy it on Ebay because of the price and it was shipped to me promptly. It saved me time and money. Thanks!

My son loves this DVD. The catchy song (which can be very annoying to hear over and over again) gets his attention. It hasn't made any noticeable impact on his desire to use the potty, however.

I love this movie's cute animations of the pictures in the book with the same title. We absolutely love the song at the end of the book. We sing it every time my son uses the potty. The images of real boys and girls handling potties gave my children the idea that real kids are doing this, so I should too!

At first I didn't like the words used to refer to the parts and what comes out of them. The movie uses wee wee and poo poo so we ended up having to change our terminology to reduce confusion, but now, even though I don't like it, if it works, I'm all for it!

I own a lot of potty videos and this one ranks right up there with the best, besides Bear in the Big Blue House - Potty Time with Bear
I also own the girls version for my daughter and I love that one too!

This is simply a good helpful and fun video. My son who is atistic really loves to watch it. Potty training is difficult, but this video has been very helpful.

Quality of the DVD is not good. This is a mass produced product and all functions on the DVD were not available.

I loved this Video. The potty song is catchy, in a bad way. Your going to walk around singing it, but the kids love it. I used both the girl and boy video with my first 2 and they were both potty trained before they were 2 years old. Works great! My dvd 6 years old, just had to buy a new one for my toddler. Works better if you also purchase the book to match, and a potty chair to match the book/movie which you can get as cheap as $10, nice, simple, and easy to clean. Highly recomended!!

I like this dvd so far because my son seems to pay attention to it because of the humor. He cracks up at it! I just hope it helps to convince him to switch to the potty!!!

I purchased this for my son but it was in VHS format 14 years ago. I also purchased a potty chair JUST LIKE THE ONE in the movie, so he would feel just like the little boy that he was watching. Everyday, my son would sit on that potty, while watching the video, and VOILA!! We even had to take pictures cause he was so proud of his efforts. (Those are blackmail pictures LOL) My son was 3 years old and totally potty trained, even at night, so this worked fine for us. Funny cause I sold my VHS/book set for boys, on ebay, quite a few years back and the person that purchased it found that it worked great for her son too!! Definitely worth the effort because the video explains the body functions, but very simplistically and in cartoon format, so that a child can understand and not have it be complicated. The video isn't too long, so it keeps their attention and is to the point! Good Luck and enjoy the benefits of not having to pay for diapers anymore!!!!!!!!!!

This video was very effective at helping both of my sons get toilet trained. It lets kids know how things are supposed to work and what to expect. It has a catchy song that helps them remember the potty concept. It also helps mom and dad know not to get in a hurry. The clinical portion of the video is way to dry to be of any help, howeber. I would certainly reccomend this to any parent who needs to help their child learn to toilet train.

Thought it would help my son with his potty training. It is boring and a little weird. Not at all what I was expecting.

Fun and entertaining for children to watch. The adult portion is a psycologist that speaks monotone the whole time but has good advise. Some of the advise seemed outdated but maybe thats just me. Video is not very long but the children's part of it plays over and over again automatically. Overall it's worth the great price we got on e-bay.

The video is really not that great. Not exactly what we were expecting. There has to be better videos out there than this one.
