Synopsis Claudia's beloved stepsister Rei--the daughter of her father's half-Japanese second wife--disappeared from her life 17 years ago. Now Rei has returned, bringing to the surface Claudia's hostile memories of Hana, Rei's home-wrecker mother--and, along with them, guilt, for Claudia herself is having an affair with a married man who has children. Gradually, Rei reveals the reasons for her long absence, and reveals new information about Hana. Most important, the sisters--older and wiser--renew their closeness and affection.
