Movie Description Jed Weintrob's ON_LINE is a high-tech dramedy about webcam voyeurism and those who live life--and hope to find love--through the Internet. Roommates John (Josh Hamilton) and Moe (Harold Perrineau) run the live erotic website Intercon-X from the confines of their Manhattan apartment. The profitable business puts the roommates into contact with a variety of Internet denizens whose alienation leads them to the virtual sex chatrooms: fantasy girl Jordan (Vanessa Ferlito); depressed artist Moira (Isabel Gillies); all-male revue host Al (John Fleck); and a suicidal gay teen from Ohio named Ed (Eric Millegan). But what starts out as random connections between anonymous strangers develops into flesh and blood drama as the lonely netizens pursue real-life relationships that blur the worlds of fantasy and reality. Utilizing state-of-the-art digital technology, split screens, and streaming webcam video, ON_LINE puts a postmodern spin on the timeless story of humans searching for love and happiness.

Editorial Reviews "...A witty, sometimes unsettling commentary on romance in the Internet age, and it marks a sharp, amusing feature debut for Weintrob....ON_LINE, which is well acted by its ensemble cast, is a fine example of digital filmmaking..." Los Angeles Times - Kevin Thomas (06/27/2003)
