Star Wars Fate of the Jedi: Omen is a hardcover book written by Christie Golden and released in the fall of 2009.
Omen is the second book in the Fate of the Jedi series.
The book starts off with another young Jedi going insane and it plods along from there. You follow the three main story arcs of:
The Jedi & the Galactic Alliance trying to deal with the insane Jedi.
The ongoing trek of Luke and Ben Skywalker.
The new entries into the Star Wars universe of the "Sith Tribe".
Personally I would have loved to spend more time in the book with the Sith Tribe and learning more about them and their interactions with Ship. A number of "space battles" could have been elaborated on instead of just 1 or 2 paragraphs about how the tribe took over ships in battle. A glorious opportunity wasted.
Overall this book introduces a number of cliff hangers and characters. However it could have been so much more. Considering the book was only 236 pages so much more could have been done in this hard cover book.
