I purchased this book because my cardiologist HIGHLY recommended it to me. It is an intriguing theory based on the diet of Greece and the fact that Greek people have a much lower rate of all diseases than Americans (or most of the rest of the world) do. If you suffer from high cholesterol or triglycerides, or heart disease of any kind, this is a must-have book. It also touches on diabetes and cancer and obesity. Unfortunately, the author recommends fatty fish at least three times a week but does say that fish oil supplements can take the place of actually eating the fish. A very interesting concept that warrants consideration.
