I bought this camera because I can't justify the prices for decent digital cameras. A digital that will match this would almost certainly start at $300 and go up from there. These days, I can easily scan from negatives or prints into digital format of any resolution I want, not too mention getting CD with my prints. Consequently, I feel have MORE flexibility with this camera than I would get with a digital camera. This was a $200 or more camera new. Now it can be had for as little as $25. It does almost everything my SLR (Olympus OM-2000) does, but in a very compact package. It also works with the Olympus (RC-200) remote control, so no more blown family photos taken by someone else. I found the remote control (new) for 89 cents at KEH.com. This is a perfect example of why sticking with 'old tech' sometimes makes perfect sense. This camera will get a lot of use!
