I bought this camera because I can't justify the prices for decent digital cameras. A digital that will match this would almost certainly start at $300 and go up from there. These days, I can easily scan from negatives or prints into digital format of any resolution I want, not too mention getting CD with my prints. Consequently, I feel have MORE flexibility with this camera than I would get with a digital camera. This was a $200 or more camera new. Now it can be had for as little as $25. It does almost everything my SLR (Olympus OM-2000) does, but in a very compact package. It also works with the Olympus (RC-200) remote control, so no more blown family photos taken by someone else. I found the remote control (new) for 89 cents at KEH.com. This is a perfect example of why sticking with 'old tech' sometimes makes perfect sense. This camera will get a lot of use!

I purchased the Olympus Stylus Epic Zoom 35mm camera about a month ago due the the fact that I lost my previous film camera and wanted another film camera. I enjoy more of the features such as date imprinting on the photos which I did not have before. One disadvantage I discovered is that it only takes the lithium batteries. My previous Olympus camera had the option to use either one lithium battery or 2 AA batteries, which I prefered. Other that that, I am really enjoying the new camera.

I bought this camera as a gift for my wife to replace a similar version that wore out after nine years of constant use. The camera was as described and has been a success as a replacement.

I bought this camera to take on a trip to Peru instead of a digital camera. This film camera is tough a nails, with film and batteries available. The pictures it has taken came out great and it is very simple to use.
