An amazing camera for a starter or amateur photog

When I fist bought an Olympus E-500 I was amazed at the capabilities of such an affordable camera. It has a good few preset modes for anyone who is looking to jump straight into shooting without having to crack open the direction or have a few hours in a photography class. It's Eight Megapixel design also shoots amazing pictures considering most professional camera's are double that. Then Olympus turns around and creates its E-x20 series. Which took the Evlot to another level by adding two additional Megapixels and Live View, which in my opinion, adds the friendliness of a point and click camera.
As for its semi-professional side it does have quiet a few adjustable settings that will give anyone who needs and knows how to adjust shutter speed, F-stop, and exposure the ability to do so. As far as what it compares to a camera that will cost you around twelve hundred, this camera that starts at three hundred is more then enough for any family or amateur photographer.
