Olympus C-755 digital camera

The Olympus C-755 is identical to the C-750, except for the label. The camera features 4 mp resolution and a 10X optical zoom lens that is very sharp. The XD card makes changing the memory very easy, just unlatch a small door and eject one card, and replace it with another. The many features of this model makes it easy to use and is light enough to carry just about anywhere. I bought this one as-is so I could repair it using parts from other C-750 cameras that I purchased with varying problems.

Thank you for voting. If your vote meets our Just what I wantedThis was an excellent upgrade. I had purchased the C740 a few years ago, and loved the picture quality, as well as the flexibility of being able to use AA batteries in a pinch - this camera is just what I was looking for.

) This is the first "high end" digital camera I've owned. I got it used from an awesome seller on eBay. I put the batteries in (yes it will function just fine on Energizers) and it came on and I was taking pictures in minutes!

Have owned a couple of Olympus cameras in the past, both digital and film. They, as this C 755 we good, high-quality cameras. The C 755 and its siblings, the C 740 and C 750 offer a rich feature set geared toward the serious home photographer. I was attracted to this model because of its feature set and Ebay is a great place to buy them because there are generally several to choose from at any given time.
I won't go into the features of this camera but suffice it to say that they are fairly robust and coupled with the excellent optics, they make a pretty powerful camera. A great place to go to read reviews online is at Steve's Digital Camera Review. There are in-depth reviews and many photos of the cameras. This site was very helpful in narrowing down the camera I wanted and in familiarizing myself with it after purchase.
Another thing I like about Olympus is that they maintain their camera manuals online and are avaible for viewing and downloading. The files are in PDF format.
Lastly, I just want to say that this is a small camera for all its features and it uses 4 AA batteries. It is stingy with its power and my first set of batteries lasted for dozens and dozens of shots.

Less is sometimes betterThis new older model product was chosen for the picture capacity relative to available memory cards. While the cards are becoming more scarce (thereby more expensive in some versions), the lower pixel density in the camera allows a larger number of higher resolution pictures to be stored on the card. Olympus products have proven to be highly reliable with high quality results for my uses. Since the newer version products are available (and more desired by buyers), this unit had a price that was a bargain when compared to the original new price and no one else seemed to have interest in it. It also will be less of a loss if I should happen to damage or lose it during travel or extreme use.

Great CameraMy Olympus camera is the best I have had for the price. It is a great starter for anyone who wants to advance. While gathering things from my car after a days work, I picked up my camera case by the strap not knowing that it was not secure and my camera came tumbling out on onto the sidewalk. I thought it was ruined. I checked it out and everything looked ok except for the scratch from the impact. When I began to use the camera again, I realized there was a problem. I could not get it to focus and most of my photos were blurred. I thought of taking it to have it diagnosed. I was a very unhappy camper because I had grown to enjoy the camera. A few days later I discovered the cause of the blurring. As I was getting out of the car, I noticed this shiny thing in the grass. It looked like someone had lost one of their coca cola eyeglass lenses. Then I realized it was my camera lens. Oh, I was very excited. I ran into the house to put the packages inside. I came back to the car still just as excited only to realize after several minutes of searching that my camera was gone. Yes, just that one day, I left my camera behind the seat on the floor of the car, it was stolen. How? Your guess is as good as mine. After bawling like a baby and finally pulling myself together, needless to say, I bought another Olympus C series Ultra Zoom camera. Once you try it, you can not go back.
