All Thornton Burgess children's stories are wonderful and this book is no exception. These are well-written interesting stories about animals--how they live, what they eat, what their "personalities" might be. Sometimes they are downright hilarious. My kids and I thoroughly enjoy them as read-alouds and plan to read as many of his books as we can get our hands on.
