Old Lawnmowers by David G. Halford (2008, Paperback)

This small book is fun for any who enjoy lawn mowers of any era. The focus of the book is literally old mowers; from the turn of the century forward. It takes the reader through the history, developement, and mechanics of lawn mowers through the decades. The text is excellently written, and sections are well organized. Even though they are very different machines, the pictures bring warm memories of my grandpa who drove the same Cub Cadet for over 40 years, and my dad, who drove the same mower for a few years while saving up for his dream mower, a mid-sized John Deere with a tow-behind mower deck. Definately a book to read!
