This new jack quartet made it onto the charts in a big way, and while their sound isn't the most, it is impressive. An album to be played when you "love the one your with," it is comprised of smooth r&b ballads and touches of hip-hop. The infectious quality of the songs combines with the strong vocal harmonies for an easy listen. OL SKOOL is executive produced by Keith Sweat, whose style is all over the album and Sweat fans will not be dissapointed. He also appears on the track "Am I Dreaming" (along with Xscape), one of the record's highlights. In the vein of Silk, Boyz II Men and After 7, this is an impressive debut from a talented band.
