Like the Beach Boys of the 21st Century. A cool, upbeat group with haunting, yet catching melodies and a unique vocal style give the SHINS an instant likability. Listen and you will be hooked. Bound to play over and over... don't miss their hit: New Slang.

) Honestly, I decided to buy this album after buying the second and third albums released by The Shins.
In between buying "Oh, Inverted World" and receiving it, I saw Garden State, and fell completely in love with "New Slang".
The lilting melodies, psychadelic flavors, and unique vocals give this album a certain undefinably awesome quality.
Buy it: you won't be disappointed!!!!

Addicting hippie folk pop (sometimes reminds me of Marcy Playground). These catchy songs will stick in your head and leave you wanting more. New Slang is absolutely beautiful (I like to put it on repeat). There's not a bad tune on here. 5 Stars.
