WOW this is one giant book! I had a tough time deciding between a 4/5 & a 5/5 rating. I think it is a great book wich would be helpful for many, but quite truthfully it can almost be overwhelming, which is why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5. Jim Griffith was Ebays first customer support rep & is now the Dean of Ebay education. There is no doubt this guy knows his stuff. My dad purchased the book & he just gave it to me recently. He just dabbles from time to time purchasing football cards & the like. This was really too much information for him. I have been an Ebay seller for 6 years, so I knew quite a bit of the info already. The book advertises itself as being the How To Manual for everyone from first time users to eBay experts. I however believe The book would be most ideal I think for someone just starting out. Griffith covers all the bases for buying & selling. For buying you will find information on bidding, paying for your items, trust & safety. For selling you will find info on research, creating & editing photos, writing descriptions & more! The questions I see most often on the discussion boards are related to using HTML. Griffith has a whole chapter on using HTML for sellers, which I am sure many will find helpful. Rather than thinking you would read this book all the way thru I would use it as a reference book, look up what you need, when you need. This is the second edition revised book. With the number of changes Ebay makes on pretty regular basis, it would be near impossible to always have the book completely up to date. Book has 614 pages & many, many diagrams & graphics to aid in understanding. The book features some actual Ebay users & I thought it was curious that the user theblueox who was featured as someone who has made a successful career as an Ebay seller is no longer a registered user. Thta's not real good marketing! Overall a very useful book thought. Enjoy & happy buying & selling!

I love having something I can tab mark and scribble notes in. This book is detailed with step by step instructions on how to get started and then areas of detailed advanced information. One you need for a "as you go along" book. Great road map.

This book is very useful for everyone who is interested in buying and selling on eBay.
For the more advanced user in eBay works is very good as a quick reference point.

Had trouble transfering from camera to insert.Really could not understand how to figure out shipping cost.

This is a real good book but unfortunately it was not for me. I had read the first Ebay Bible by Jim Griffith and hoped to gain some greater insight to having an Ebay store but he touched very lightly on that subject, so I will put the book up for sale on Ebay. At this point I am actually too advanced in my Ebaying for this book.
Having said that I will say that if you are just starting out on Ebay this book is the one you want. The first edition is the one I bought when I began and I have never regretted it. That book, or this one, which is actually a real good expansion on the first book should be every "nubies" starting point. Anything you want or need to know to get up and running on Ebay is covered in this book and in a style that is easily understood. Actually, I think I'll keep this book in case my kids, or my business minded 13 year old grandson decide to try Ebaying. It'll beat having them on the phone to me every other day.

I've been selling for about a month and a half - I picked up how to sell fairly easy because I was a buyer. This book gave me information I didn't even think about - great how to's, and easy to follow. It now takes me 1/2 the time to list something - reach more buyers - and I haven't even finished the whole book yet!!!! A must have for new sellers or old ones.

It was very easy to understand and there are step-by-step instructions on all aspects of Ebay. It takes you from the signing up process until the final steps after the package has been mailed. I decided to buy it because an advisor at SCORE (Service Corp or Retired Executives) had recommended it. Easy reference guide too!

This book is a must read for any person who is interested in doing business on eBay. A lot of good information.

Great Book....Alot of help for a newbie like me!!! A must read for someone who doesn't know where to start. Even if you think you know, it doesn't hurt to read it because you'll find that you missed SOMETHING!! A recommended Read!

I'm an eBay seller. I opened an eBay store several months ago, and was looking for more in-depth information regarding how to construct the store to optimize its impact. This book does not go into store details as I'd hoped. Otherwise, it's a good basic text.

The book was used and it was in very good condition. It was better than I expected. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Great book!If your going to sell on Ebay,its good to know as much as you can about ebay and how they work.

This is a very comprehensive book on all aspects of ebay. The author is a veteran ebay employee who uses humor to get the points across.

This book covers eBay from the beginning of the site, to how to buy and sell and eBay.

Most detail is given on selling on eBay. The book is a must read for those just beginning to use eBay. It covers all the basic knowledge of selling on eBay. I believe even the experienced seller can pick up a few tips from this book This book is 600 pages of pure info. Retails for $24.00, And well worth it at that price.

The book is written at the high school graduate level. The more experience you have on eBay the faster you'll grasp the ideas of why there's a better way to do things.

I recommend you click the Buy It Now button or place an auction bid. The sooner you get this book the sooner you will be posting better listings, making a higher seller through rate and earning more per sale.

We took many of the ideas presented, changed our store listings, and have seen an increased in sales. We all recommend this book.

This is an excellent for someone like me who wanted to learn a lot more about how to become a successful seller and buyer on eBay. This book covers step by step navigating for selling, buying, shipping etc...I'm glad I purchased it. it has already been a big help.

I bought this book for learning the ins and outs of Ebay as a buyer and seller.
This book is a very good to the point reference book. Although you can find a lot of help on Ebay itself I like my references in the printed book format. This book has met my needs to be able to have it highlighted and marked in the key areas. It is arrainged in an orderly fashion that is user friendly.

The Official Ebay Bible is well writen and easy to follow. I am new on ebay and need all the help I can get. My first couple of weeks without any books to help were very difficult!
