The Official 2007 Price Guide to Baseball Cards by James Beckett (2007, Paperback)

Beckett publishes a monthly magazine to update cards and notify the customers about upcoming products, but every year a full fledged all out price guide book comes out cataloging and listing the latest price on every Baseball Card ever known to man. Beckett has been the book the entire sports industry has relied on for many, many years.

If you are a Sports Card Collector, then this is one book you can’t do without. No other name can be trusted for prices in this industry. Don’t look to another, Beckett is the name and this is the book.

This book is always good and thorough, but is it really necessary now, in the day of 1/1, cut autographs and HOF bat cards to know the value of every single card in the 1989 Topps baseball set? The only thing I don't get about Beckett is where they get their prices from because nobody sells cards for more than 50% of book unless it's an unusual superstar, rookie or vintage card.

I love this book because it is so easy to use. It is a great book for any baseball card collector. I have other books on baseball cards but this book is by far the best.

The book was everything I thought it should be. The only problem I am having is the print is so small. I really have to work at reading the print.

The Paperback edition does have small print. This does keep it small and handy. It covers the majority of card produced. But have wished to find the 1964 Topps Giants or some traded sets without success. So it serves it's purpose.

It has plenty of card valuations but I find it cumbersome and the print is obnoxiously small in a paperback. I later opted for the huge book- 2008 Standard Catalog of Baseball cards by Don Fluckinger. Its a much better book.

I bought this guide to look up the value of some old baseball cards. It didn't have certain sets in it. The card numbers didn't match. Poor Design. Wouldn't recommend. Buy a Krause Publications price guide instead like I did after I brought this back to the book store.

Very detailed book listing thousands of baseball cards, and their approximate collector value. I'm not an expet, but heard this was the book to have, and from what I have seen, I can't argue.
Minor complaint: Due to the volume of info the print is small, and I mean Small. If you're over thirty by a magnifying glass to go with.
Otherwise it is what it claims to be. Of course with any collector items, they are only worth what someone will pay, so don't think your specific card will fetch exactly the price listed, it may, but then again, may not.
Worth the asking price for anyone starting into collecting cards.

I like the company's concern over the plight of sellers and buyers.
My most recent purchase was a Beckett magazine (price guide for baseball cards). Although it can not say anything because I have not received, it appears the problem of shipping companies, but nothing I am waiting.

In general I liked the experience.

well i didnt find what i really need it other than that is a great book and good price i think that i really didnt look quite right into it so i really did not what i was getting. I know that it was a good purchase

Gives information you need but as always with any price guide it can never have evrything listed in it.
