A Definite Improvement

Odyssey put many great improvements in this putter. The white steel insert feels much firmer than the white hot insert and gives significantly better feedback. This has helped to improve my speed a great deal over the white hot 2-ball.
The SRT ring really does what it's supposed to do. Putts not hit very well still track on-line with little bouncing or skidding. I've found that the SRT ring also helps to quiet my left (leading) wrist. All that hype about MOI seems to be true - my wrist is much less likely to break down through impact.
The double bend shaft (the shaft actually bends back and away from the face) took a little while to get used to. The idea behind this double bend is to put your hands in a forward press position. In other words, with the ball in the center of your stance, your hands should be forward of your belt buckle. Until I got used to this I felt as if I was delofting the putter, but it definately works better with a forward press.
For what it's worth, I did try the 3-ball but it was just too big. I felt like I was looking down at a dinner plate and couldn't concentrate on the ball itself. But if you REALLY need A LOT of forgiveness then give the 3 ball a try. It's MOI is supposed to be even greater than the 2 ball.
If you're currently a 2-ball player then I definately suggest trying the SRT. Odyssey didn't make just a little tweak - they built a much more effective putter.
