Odyssey White Steel #1

The reason I purchase this club, was to replace an old garage sale putter I had been using. The old putter was like one you would find on a Miniature golf course, with a Budweiser beer bottle as the head of the putter. Not technically sound, but a conversation started like you wouldn't believe.
I had used this putter for a couple of years, along with an old Mallet putter that I had purchased with my first set of golf clubs. Never really liked the feel of the mallet putter (not that my putting stroke was any better), and thought that it was time to get a new putter, and take advantage of today's technology.
So I was looking for either a Nike Putter (to match my Irons) or Odyssey because I had heard good things about them. So I automatically thought about going to eBay and looking for a deal on putters.
I came across eBay user 'scubamandave44' who was selling an Odyssey White Steel #1 putter. So I did some research on this putter and the Nike Blue Chip putters. I read reveiws, and tested both putters at my local golf shop (Uintah Golf). I decided against the Nike putter, because the Blue Chip was annoying to me.
I find myself to be a blade putter type person, so I didn't even consider the '2 ball' from Odyssey (plus my brother owns one, and I don't the look, distracting to me, but it does help line up your putts, whether you hit that line is a different story).
So I purchased the Odyssey White Steel #1 (time for a shameless plug) from 'scubamandave44' at eBay (GREAT SELLER, FAST DELIVERY)
When I received the putter it was in Brand New Condition (stickers and plastic) and I could hardly wait to test it out. So I unwrapped it (left the price tag on it... just to show how much it was worth) and setup my automatic ball return in my living room. As soon as I got the club in my hand, the Grip felt terrific. The best feeling grip, I had ever felt. Immediately I thought to myself I am going to sink every putt I take. Well I was wrong, I found out no matter how good the putter is made, or how it feels, you still have to make the putting stroke. Anyways this putter had done wonders for my confidence, the feel, the setup, the length have all helped me shed 4 strokes off my round. I feel more confident on the green with this putter in hand, so much more confident than my old Budweiser putter, that used to make me look forward to a 6-pack after disappointing rounds of golf.
Don't over look Odyssey's blade series of putters, you may know them as the 2 Ball company, but their blades are outstanding as well.
(P.S. Do I get paid for this review and advertising? J/K....)
