Odyssey White Hot 8 Putter Golf Club

Odyssey made a big mistake in discontinuing this putter. It is and has been one of the most popular designs in putters. The best putters in the world, either use or have used this style of putter including Arnie Palmer, Ben Crenshaw and Phil Mickelson. Odyssey has been known for their 'white' insert which effectively removes heavier steel from the center of the club face and positions it around the club face for a more solid feel when striking the ball. The shaft is mounted at the heel which gives the golfer a great view of the putter and golf ball, making it in my opinion, easier to square the blade and keep it as square as possible throughout the putting stroke. I also believe it gives a golfer better 'feel' in rolling the ball the proper distance. In my opinion, a golfer needs to determine whether he/she is a technical player or a feel player. A technical player thinks in terms of "how far back should I swing the putter" and a feel player doesn't think about distance, he/she swings the putter the correct distance based upon what he/she 'feels' the distance is. This putter in my opinion, fits both a technical player and a feel player but probably slanted more toward the feel or visual player because of it's generous field of view behind the ball. The overall weight of the club head is sufficient to promote a smooth stroke without any yipping. I really can't figure out why Odyssey stopped making this design but the only thing I can even come close to guessing is the sweet spot, seems to be slightly toward the heel (1/8") from the center of the club face. This is not a big problem for me because I still get solid contact, I just have to be aware of it when making the stroke. I still rate this putter one of the best all time in blade style putters.

been looking for this item for forever. found it at a reasonable price had to have it. great putter love the way it looks. love then way it feels plus it is hard to get your hands on one of these. no dislikes all and all very satisfied

Let's see. I'd love to start by saying how hilarious it I'd that eBay would have me write about something I currently have a complaint on. Not only did I not receive the product, and I paid for the product, but eBay and Paypal have not gotten back to me on this issue. As a eBay user for over 5 years, I feel as though I have been treated with complete disrespect by both sites and the seller. I will not recommend eBay to friends or family and am considering contacting the better business bureau since I am not being taken seriously. So for my review.....eBay and paypal have both failed me as a 100% user.

Love the item, it has been a style of putter I had long sought after. I played with it after receiving it and enjoyed it. The product itself was in great shape and I personally prefer the Callaway/Odyssey brand. Excellent item and I hope to continue to purchase items related to Callaway or Odyssey in the future.

this is simply one of the best putters ever made. the look balance and feel are superb. the first time i used the putter on the course 8 birdies no 3 putts and the guy i beat offered me 500 dollars to buy it. if you want to make more putts pick one of thes up you will never regret it.

just to try out. oddsswy is the putter that lot of my friends use and i just wanted to try it out to see if i liked it.

The head of the putter is a classic look. The feedback is instant upon striking the ball. Very easy to line up and head had a good weight ot it. Everyone should try this putter.
