Ocean's Twelve (DVD, 2005, Widescreen)

If Ocean's Twelve had not followed Ocean's Eleven, my guess is that the reviews would be more favorable - but, for better or worse, Ocean's Twelve is a sequel and its predecessor, Ocean's Eleven, was an excellent movie and had tremendous success. The Ocean's Twelve cast is outstanding (Andy Garcia, Bernie Mac, Brad Pitt, Carl Reiner, Casey Affleck, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Cherry Jones, Don Cheadle, Elliott Gould, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Scott Caan, Vincent Cassel) with especially strong performances from Brad Pitt and Catherine Zeta-Jones... but the writing is sub-par and really stretches at times. Ocean's Twelve is an extension of the first movie: three years after Danny Ocean's crew (Ocean's 11) robbed Las Vegas casino owner Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia), Benedict is seeking revenge and the $160MM that was stolen. Benedict givens Ocean and gang two weeks to get the money - or else. Seeking quick, big money, Ocean's 11 plans a big heist in Amsterdam.

Don't get me wrong - the movie is fun, has plenty of action and humor... my complaint is that it doesn't live up to Ocean's 11. Still an enjoyable ride.

I think it's best not to watch Ocean's eleven and Ocean's twelve back to back.

But this movie has some merit to stand on it's own, and it certainly is worth a look. The story picks up wehre we find out that no one has truly retired... and suddenly not only does the casino demand it's money back, but now another thief "the Night Fox" is beating them at their good targets....

Romance (a new one) and cameos by Bruce Willis and Julia Roberts (as themsleves) make it fun, while there is plenty of action around the globe to keep you interested.

Pop the Popcorn, grab a seat on the couch- and try not to take it's "lack of living up to Ocean's Eleven" to seriously. This movie is still a good watch!

What a superb cast they assembled for Ocean's Eleven. George Clooney, Brad Pitt, the underrated Andy Garcia, and so on. And what a good story. Then came Ocean's Twelve, same cast plus more. Story didn't cut it for me. Could have been better, but wasn't totally bad or anything like that. And I didn't even expect it to come close to Ocean's Eleven, but most the magic from the first movie is gone when watching this one. The tip of the iceberg is the really, really dumb scene with Julia Roberts trying to impersonate umm....Julia Roberts. If it hadn't been for Ocean's Eleven, this movie probably would have been alright by itself. But the bar was set too high for this movie, and it didn't even come close.

of course this moive is good cause of all that is in it. kinda disappoints cause the first was so good. but its worth buying!

This movie was a total waste of my time and money. They were riding the coat tales of Ocean's Eleven and did a very poor job of that.

This movie was good, but does not match the original Ocean's Eleven. Decent plot, lots of good looking men to admire throughout!

The story is really captive, good comedy. The end, of course, throws you off a bit, but you can't see it coming.

But not as good as Ocean's Eleven !

Still a good flick to check out on a rental basis... don't believe I would own it in my library!

Well I do like that fact that I was able to find the movie so fast, I bought it because a friend of mine let me borrow the movie, she had originally bought it from Blockbuster and I thought I had rented it and returned it to the store by mistake. But the movie was not that good, the 1st one was much better.

Movie was in great shape.I have watched it.Case was a little bent up,but I have fixed the problem.It wasn't that damaged.

Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Twelve are two of the greatest movies I've ever seen for various reasons, one of which is the fact that it has every single hot guy in Hollywood in it! I love the action and the jokes! It's just a great movie!

A great action movie with several twists. The ending was a very unexpected twist. I would recomend this movie to anyone who liked Ocean's Eleven, or anyone else for that matter.

Sequels rarely match their prequels, which is true in Ocean's Twelve. It's still a great movie with a great cast. Definitely a worthwhile flick.

Oceans 12 wasn't as good as the first, but it was pretty good. Yes, as the previews say, there all back and more are added including Julia Roberts as no. 12. It starts out as Terry Benedict gives Oceans eleven men two weeks to pay back his money or he will kill them. So they decide to pull off some jobs to make the dough. However Catherine Zeta Jones is trying to catch them red-handed. The plot is twisted and like the first one it doesn't come together until the end, but you may have to see it a few more times to understand it. The movie doesn't explain the roles of some of the men and it is more like Damon's Four for awhile, and you'll see why, but in the end it is funny, and it makes you think, unlike recent movies being made. Watch for the cameos, with Bruce Willis, and the actor in Brad Pitt's hotel room is form That 70's Show. P.S. the movie isn't that predictable like some reviewers say. I recommend seeing the prequel first Oceans 11 it will make more sense in the second one.

The dialogue was confusing, the characters spoke on top of each other, but the plot was good... A fun collaboration with top actors.

I bought this DVD, because I really enjoy watching George Clooney act. I was expecting to be a bit let down, because the "sequels" usually lose something, and I had just re-watched Ocean's Eleven.

I was pleasantly surprised. Ocean's Twelve lost nothing! It is an excellent movie, and I would recommend it to anyone.

This was a good movie, but start out with the classic first, then movie to part two, and then get ready for Ocean's Thirteen.

With the all-star cast, you know it's going to be entertaining. Great story. Enjoyed every moment of the movie. Moved along really well. 5 stars.

I wanted this movie so.....I just bought it. What's not to like about it? It's got Brad Pitt and George Clooney. I loved all the Oceans movies. ;0)
