The Nutty Professor (DVD, 2004, Special Collector's Edition)

I purchased this movie because I used to have it on VHS, and I wanted it on DVD. I am a huge Stella Stevens fan, and this is one of my favorite movies she stars in. Little did I know that there were so many extras included (behind the scenes, bloopers, out takes, etc. ) This is a great classic movie that is pretty much timeless. Great story, gorgeous color, fabulous fashion, and the swinginest music. By far my favorite Jerry Lewis movie,and if you are a Stella Stevens fan,this movie is a must have.

Classic Jerry Lewis, Original Comedy. If you don't laugh, seek therapy.....Jerry has a unique method of owning his caracter.

i loved the movie, it brought out both sides of a man that is the greatest comedian of all time. like most of his movies he can take a character and make hime so funny, like the geisha whaere he was a magician and people he worked with made him funnier (the rabbit and the little boy). the professor it was the potion that made him not likable but when he turned back it was funny.

The movie is terrific when Professor Kelp or Buddy Love takes the stage. It is not only the best Jerry Lewis movie, as a comedy, but it has a moral on how important it is to be yourself.

It seemed strange that Stella Stevens did not notice Buddy was Professor Kelp. They greatly resembled each other, and when Buddy was losing his voice it seemed obvious he was Professor Kelp.

I have loved Jerry Lewis movies as a child, and teen especially, and "The Nutty Professor" has always been my favorite of his movies. Stella Stevens did an exceptional job. She supported the saying that looks-are-only-skin-deep by her marrying Professor Kelp. On an over-all the movie is witty, and it is justifiable to consider it a great classic.

What can you say. Jerry Lewis was great in this movie. Not taking away from Eddie Murphy job it was also great. but I still prefer the older movies to the remakes. Just overall a great movie.

When I bought this movie, my thoughts were, "Jerry Lewis -- gotta be funny!" I was wrong. This is not one of his typical comedy movies and the remake puts this one to shame.

A must see and one to add to a movie collection. Jerry Lewis had many faces and in this movie he shows his talent with exception. He had a special kind of witt and this movie is a good companion for the new version done by Eddie Murphy. Really a must have movie.
