Nursing Diagnosis Handbook by Gail B. Ladwig (2005, Paperback)

Very comprehensive guide of nursing diagnoses. I needed to buy it for my RN coursework. It is excellent for writing care plans. I don't think you can find a better resource for nursing diagnoses.

The book was in excellent condition, it however took a longer than expected time to arrive. I would advise ordering the book a week or so in advance if you are planning on using for school related purposes.

This is a very heavy book. Don't plan on carting it around in a backpack. Other than that, it is very useful and well written.

The inside back cover lists of all the 2005-06 NANDA "Nsg Dx" (nursing diagnoses). Section I - explains how to write a nursing dx and care plan. Section II - alphabetical list of symptoms, problems, med dx, psych dx & clinical states. This section offers idea for an individualized nsg dx. Section III - (the bulk of the book)lists nursing dx care plans according to NANDA I. These are alphabetical. This section also contains all of the outcomes and interventions.

I would recommend this book as one to keep at home or in the nursing station itself. It you plan on carrying it around, I would recommend -

Nurse's Pocket Guide: Diagnoses, Prioritized Interventions, and Rationales (Nurses Pocket Guide) (Paperback) by Doenges, Moorhouse, and Murr (ISBN-13: 978-0803618572).

This is a great tool when writing Care Plans. It offers all you could possibly need to write an "A+" Care Plan!!!

Greatbook, easy to use, the book has all the disease or surgical procedure, if you look under each disease, ot will give you all the possible nursing diagnosis. Each nursing diagnosis has all the nursing interventions and rationals. Helps me a lot to do my nursing care plan.

Love this book, great for medical student and nursing student.I used this book to find all the majore complication associated with client diagnoses.

This is a great book that every nurse will need for their diagnosis purposes. This book compiles all the info in a great way.

The book was just as discribed. We will be using it for nursing school. it is nice to be able to check them on ebay
