Album Notes
Despite its title (NOW #1s) and release date (January 2006), some of the songs on this pop music mix actually date from the late '90s. Macy Gray's "I Try," for example, harks back to 1999, and hits from Britney Spears and 'NSYNC remind listeners of what was filling the teen-pop airwaves at the turn of the millennium. Its lack of "nowness" notwithstanding, NOW #1s does offer a pleasingly eclectic mix, including heavy guitar-rock from the likes of Nickleback and Creed alongside contemporary R&B from Nelly and hip-hop from Outkast.
