This is a great book for any red sox fan. It is a series of columns wrote my ESPN Columnist Bill Simmons, a true red sox fan. It takes you through the ups and downs of a die-hard sox fan in a very creative way. You can feel the disapointment, joy, heartbreak, and love in this man, any red sox fan can relate to what he has felt. The best part of the book by far are the footnotes on each side of every page. He goes back and analyzes his predictions, comments, and banter in a hilarious way. Some of my favorites include the one next to a column were he wrote that Roger Clemens would be a bust after he left Boston (10 years later and still pitching great), He wrote "I will now walk into oncoming traffic". Another is where he wrote "How did Paul O' Neal sustain an broken leg in 1999" Answer: He fell in the dugout after walking into Joe Torre's nose. The footnotes are as long as the book and are hilarious. You don't have to be a sox fan to appreciate this book, Any Yankee-hater would find this book to be great, I highly recommend it!
