Nour el Ain by Carlos Di Sarli (CD, Dec-1998, EMI Records Argentina)

First thing to say, is that Ebay should correct the artist's name, it's been like this "Di Sarli, Carlos" for a long time(I noticed this 3-4 years ago, and still, as of now) never corrected, (or Has Amr Diab been called by that name in South America or particular countries in the world?) Id on't know, anyway I had not owned this album, I had considered to buy before, but when I chekced the song list of this album, looked like most songs were in his "Best songs CD" which I have owned 3 or 4 already, so I thought okey to buy anytime or okey not to buy. But I saw this CD on Ebay at very good price (as new in shrink wrap condition) recently, so I decided to buy. Since I knew most songs on this CD, I did not so much expected. (the few songs I didn't know on this CD were in his Best song CDs, means not good, I simply thought), but the few songs I didn't know were great actually. the other songs I already knew by his best song CDs are okey too. (I had not listened to them for a long time, so they're fine too). This is something closer to what I expected in moden Arabic music and Amr Diab. the Hit song "Habibi"(the 1st song on this CD) is as you might know, little too strong Latin flavor, but other songs are still in Arabic/Oriental flavor, exotic. Exotic is important in Abaric music to me. (so I don't want Amr Diab to think he must get more Western influenced music- his recent albums are not so well because of that. showing who he is is always good, I'd like to say).

This CD come with Lyrics-that's what I always wanted, but when I carefully checked, I had lylics a lot in his other CDs I ever bought... I just didn't know, that's stupid and I'd wasted time a lot because I like to sing along with his songs though I do not speak his language at all. I can sing his songs with my phony Arabic (at least my husband thought I speak Arabic when he heard me sing along with Amr Diab, enough to fool him, but always wanted to check if what I sing was in correct pronounciation), though the lyrics are in Arabic, I can read them little(I have to write how to spell them in my language over theose Arabic lyrics,but it also helps me to learn Arabic better) so I am really happy with the Bonus in this CD. This is like Activity CD set to me(like children's Avtitity book or toy that teaches them language or numbers etc, I enjoy music and sing along, then correct my Arabic with Lyrics book).
I love this CD. Great! I think Amr Diab hismelf said that his favorite album was this one.
