As I have been reading this book I have had tears in my eyes, alternately from laughing and feeling moved by the love the author and I share for the UK. Some familiarity with British history and architecture is helpful to the enjoyment of the book, but the humor comes through clearly.

Thank you for voting. If your vote meets our Notes from a Small Island by Bill Bryson (1997)I heard it was a good book from my friend In Ennis Ireland and I thought it would be a book to read and aquire insight on what to see an not to see in Britian you can spend a lot of time traveling and using up precious vacation time go to places that is not worth your time. This book of Mr. Bryson's was fantastic, I have made a list of things to see when I visit England.
