Synopsis Brooke and Keith Desserich share the inspirational story of their late daughter Elena, who accomplished more in her six years of life than many people do in much longer lifetimes. When she was diagnosed with a terminal form of brain cancer, little Elena resolved to achieve as many of her dreams as possible in whatever time she had left, and her amazing energy, compassion, and ambition became a guiding light to help her parents through the agony of losing her. The Desserichs began keeping a journal of Elena's life for her younger sister, and they also include the touching notes and drawings which Elena hid around the house for her family to find after she was gone.
