The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks (1998, Paperback, Reissue)

This book has had me in a very emotional state since I have read it. It is so well written, you can feel what the characters are feeling in each moment. I absolutely fell in love with this book and with Nicholas Sparks after reading this. I have made it a point to read most of his other books, but none have touched me quite like The Notebook has.
I was first drawn to the book because my sister saw the movie and said it was amazing. I happened to be in the bookstore and saw the book, so I figured I would give it a shot. It has quickly become one of my most favorite books ever, and no matter how many times I read it, the story still captivates me. If you want a truly romantic, wonderful tale of lost love found again, read The Notebook. I promise you will not be sorry, but you may need a box of tissues.

I fell in love with the movie and so I decided I needed the book. It was very good, but the book did not have as much detail about their first summer as the movie does. The book is also missing my faviorit scene. When they are standing on the dock and ally finally asked "why did't you write me". I won't go on and ruin it for anyone who hasen't seen it. The book is still worth reading, but the movie was way better.

This classic book (in my eyes) is timeless and fun no matter how many times you've read it...The story is exciting and fresh even if you've seen the film over 100 times, as I have...The is a Must Have Book for anyone’s collection!!!

I've been looking for the original print of The Notebook and I was very satisfied when I received the book. The condition was excellent and I am very pleased overall.

This is a beautifully written story, that you won't want to put down. This story just goes to show you, true love triumphs over all. Definitely keep the tissues handy, you'll need them! Definitely bound to become a classic love story of our time.

Wonderfully written. No obscene language or scenes. I would recommend this for book club reading. Nice love story without being overly mushy.

I read the book before seeing the movie - love them both - I will warn you the ending is different in the book. Well written - true love story!!! You will want to read it over and over and over. Romantic classic!! The characters are wonderful, the fact that it is a based on a true couple is soo amazing.

All I can say is that this is likely to be the most touching, heart rendering book you are ever likely to read. You will follow Noah and Allie through the emotions of life and it will leave you wanting more, more, more.

It’s the most amazing love story I have ever read and though I enjoyed the movie I feel that it was no where near as special as this wonderful book.

I bought this book because I have seen the movie........and love it! It is one of my favorite love stories. It was convenient to buy from my living room and the price was right. The only thing I didn't like, was that the book seemed old and the cover ripped easily.

Book was a gift for my niece. She said the movie was good but the book was GREAT!

THIS IS BOOK BASE ON THE LOVE STORY BY ONE OF THE WRITER FAMILY MEMBER, WHO FOUND TRUE LOVE IN A TIME NOT SO DIFFERENT FROM NOW, WHEN THE UPPER CLASS AND LOWER CLASS WERE NOT ALOUD TO FALL IN LOVE. I BOUGHT THE BOOK FOR A FRIEND WHO SAW THE MOVIE BUT NEVER GOT TO READ THE BOOK.

I loved the movie and wanted to read the book. I fell in love with them both. I now have a new appreciation for the movie and the book author. I love the sad love story and the way it ends on a sad but happy note. I've never known a book or movie to have a sad, happy ending.

I haven't read the book just yet, I have seen the movie and loved it, so I decided to start collecting/reading all the series of Sparks and I have all but two and you have to start with the Notebook first before reading any of his other books to completely enjoy and understand why for the writings of his books. My family in North Carolina have really gotten into Sparks books because of the area they are written in and about. She has all of his books but the Notebook. I now have it and when time allows for me to sit down and start with the first and really get into the plot and go from the firt to the last, I will wait for I understand from her that they all are great and I know the movie was. My husband is from the area in North Carolina that the Notebook is written on and I completely understand the writings. I want to give my undivided attention to something that I have been told is worth the waiting to read so whenever I retire - soon - I will have the time I want to put into and enjoy reading the series. I can hardly wait by then I should have all of them.

This man, Nicholas Sparks, is an amazing writer. Every single books he has written I have read and I will continue to read anything he writes.

Simply the best love story ever written. The passage of time and the loss of the mind does not end the endless love of the couple depicted in this story.

"The Notebook" is one of my favorite novels and has been since I was in high school! The way the story of these two characters is told makes this book impossible to put down. LOVE IT!

This is a classic love story that makes your heart melt everytime you read it. There is a spin off movie but the book takes a different story line. I would recommend it to anyone that loves classic love stories.
