The Notebook (DVD, 2005)

One of my favorite tear-jerker love stories. I sensed the "reveal" before the end but it was truly emotionally wrenching when it did arrive...maybe this hit me harder because I'm getting older myself, as is my husband (and my parents who are in their 70s are married over 50 years). The events played out in this wonderful film are so beautifully done, so romantic, so believeable and so touching that if you're a softie like me you might as well just get the tissues out when you turn the DVD on. My teenaged daughters really loved this movie as well. Guys may not like it as much, especially those under 25, or those who aren't married. Lovely scenery, filmed around where I live.
