Movie Description
Nine shorts and "music videos" produced by Hollywood and the U.S. Government during the war effort: 1) "A Letter From Bataan" (1943), in which Richard Arlen, Susan Hayward, Jimmy Lydon and Joe Sawyer act out a drama about a soldier who dies in the jungle and the reaction back home, 2) "The Rear Gunner" (1943), in which Ronald Reagan, Burgess Meredith, Tom Neal, Bernard Zanville, and Knox Manning act out a story about Gunnery school, 3) "The Caissons Go Rolling Along," sung by Robert Weede, 4) "I Don't Want to Change the Subject" (1945), in which a cartoon urges Americans to keep up their spirits after winning the war, 5) "Keep 'em Rolling," a defense bond jingle by Rogers and Hart, 6) "The Marine's Hymn," 7) "The United States Coast Guard Song," 8) "Ten Years From Now" (1945), urging investment in war bonds, and 9) "We've Got Another Bond to Buy" (1945), sung by Bing Crosby.
