A complete almost day by day reporters account of the historic voyage of the SS Manhattan, Humbrol Oil Co. tanker, through the Northwest Passage. Tells the life of the ship before the famous voyage and what was done to prepare her for navigating the frozen oceans of the Arctic Circle. This project was not government sponsored and was overshadowed by the landing of men on the moon.
There are not a lot of photos but the black and white ones provided give one a great view of a very impressive ship.
