Norah Jones - Live in New Orleans (DVD, 2003)

Just what i was expecting from this DVD!! a real feeling of her early concert experience...Norah has a few special quests that just rock the DVD! a must for any NJ FAN!!!

I purchased this DVD concert after I saw Norah at the Filmore in SF. Although the DVD doesn't truely put you at the concert, this one comes pretty close. This is a great collection to any true fan of Norah. She plays all of her big hit songs off her first album as well as some un-released songs.
This was filmed early on in her career, so she doesn't have a true stage present yet, however her voice is still amazing. This camera angles are excellent and the sound is just as real as being at the concert(minus all the background chatter from annoying concert goers)
I would highly recommend this DVD if you're a true fan and want to add it to your collection, or if you are just curious to see what all the hype is about.

I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED NORAH JONES FROM THE BEGINNING, WHEN NO ONE ELSE EVER HEARD OF HER. SHE IS CALMING AND ARTICULATE. HER BACKGROUND MUSIC DOES NOT DROWN HER OUT. I WENT TO SEE HER IN CONCERT IN PHILLY AND LOVED EVERY MOMENT. SHE SINGS FOR YOU NOT ATYOU. I, ONLY,WISH SHE WOULD SING SOME MORE NEW SONGS. I WOULD LOVE FOR HER TO RESSURECT SOME REAL OLDIES. I am sure that it is a gift that my husband is going to love for Christmas. I decided to buy it because my husband has all of the Nora Jones cd's and thought he would like a DVD of her in concert as we have not been able to see her in concert ourselves.

If you like Nora Jones you will like this DVD. A live band makes the music live and she is a great singer.

I bought this becuase I heard her on the local Jazz station. She has a distinctive voice that stays with you. I decided to listen to this with my wife late one evening and we felt as if we were there. The sound and picture quality is good, as well as the song selections. Our complaint, like everyone else is that it is too short.

Without a doubt one of the finest examples of Norah's innate talent and incredible range. If you're only going to buy one of Norah's "This Is The One"

I loved the whole DVD it was like being there in concert with her . I think she is great I love her low key ways on stage . She sings every song with her brand of what it should sound like it is a great concert GREAT GREAT !!!! thanks mary
