A Regency Romance
The author Georgette Heyer is one of my favorites. She writes historical novels, often light romances, set in England's Georgian and Regency periods and contemporary mysteries. Her characters are so excellently developed that you became very interested in their lives. She describes the customs, food, dress, and England so well that as you read, you can clearly picture the scene. The nonesuch describes a man that is so excellent in all areas of sport and manners that there is none such as him. Sir Waldo is determined to remain single, ignoring all the lures thrown out to him by the annual crop of young woman being presented to society. That all changes when he meets the hired companion of the beautiful heiress Tiffany, the perfect on-the-shelf Miss Trent.
