Nokia N-Gage Game Deck (Unlocked)

This is the first edition of the N-gage by Nokia and I own the 2nd Edition, the QD as well. These phones are awesome! While the N-gage has a MP3 player and built in radio, it also plays games, lets you watch movies, access the Web, has bluetooth and is sturdy, reliable and fun! These phones werent marketed properly by NOkia and are not well known as a result of that. They were way ahead of their time. With lots of memory and the ability to use a memory stick, I have over 10 full length feature films, hundreds of PS and Nintendo games as well as ring tones and more stored on my phone. The battery seems to last forever and everywhere I go, everyone also asks What kind of phone is that!?
Best bag for the buck and better than most newer phones on the market today!

I like this product 'cause it has games. You can use it as a gamepad and a cellphone. I think is great for the kinds. I don't like the size but it is a great product for the games functions and connectivity.

Personally, I like the Sidekick 3 better but this is still an incredibly advanced piece of technology. It has tons of features besides the gaming (which is incredible). It also has bluetooth and like a million very useful applications. I would recommend the buy to most people, but then again, I personally like the SK3 better but this phone is pretty darn sweet and I am actually thinking of getting one. Later, Nick

I purchased this item because of my hobby: playing around with electronic stuff. The N-Gage was a poorly planned project from Nokia meant to compete in both the handheld gaming market and the cell phone market. What resulted was a machine that did not do either one of these particularly well.
phone: bulky size and odd shape, clumsy interface.
gaming system: games and screen not comparable to competitors products.

I bought the device because it did have some unique functions and there are a few games that actually are somewhat ok. Another aspect of this piece of hardware that appealed to me was it's ability to be hacked and use homebrew software. For me, it's the challenge of getting things to work on a limited platform that really push it's capabilities.

I bought the N-Gage QD the first day it came out, and I loved it every single day until yesterday when I accidently went swimming with it in my pocket. Now I'm here on Ebay trying to buy a new one because even after having it for so long, I'm still in love with it.

The N-Gage can do so many things. The 101mhz processor is powerful enough to support playback of full length movies without desyncing. It plays games as well as MP3, Ogg, Wav, AAC, 3gp, Divx, Xvid, real media and many other formats with some third party installs and codecs.

I would recomend the original over the QD though. The QD is optimized strictly for gaming, so if that's all you want then get it. But the original has stereo sound and USB so it's much more suited for use as a portable media device. It's more like the games are the little side feature.

All in all I love this phone. The only down side is it cannot receive picture messages. :-/

I bought this for my 13 year old son who loves playing video games but hates carring several electronic around. He LOVES this phone. He loves the game Sims Busten Out. He plays it non stop. However, the only thing he hates about it is, the battery life is not that long. Even though I was told the battery would last all day of game time, that was false. No big deal though, I bought another battery and a battery charger that holds the battery during charges and that way he can switch the batteries around as they run down. Again, this was the perfect gift for my son. He absolutely loves it.

I actually bid on this in a hurry. I logged on the sight and went to unlocked GSM cell phone and it was nearing the end of the bid. I really didn't look at the details about the scrathes on knocks on the phone and I bidded and won. When I received the phone I really wanted to return it and ask for my money back but I feel that what I got for not noticing the phone from the get go. When I received it, it was no use to me and it had a lot of wear and tear on it. It looked as if it was outside in the weather and kind of ran over. But I do fault myself with this rash bid. In the future I will make better judgement on what I buy.

I bought Nokia N-Gage for my son. He likes phone very much. I tried to use it for few days and it's kinda cool. It has mp3 player, bluetooth and the usb port!!!! The loudspeaker is very efficient and the radio and MP3 player can be listened to while you play a game or serch the internet via the the Ngage's online browser.
What I didn't like: No camera feature. Bluetooth is great but the phone has no infrared port. Need to remove the back cover to put a new game in (way too complicated).
